Juan Diego Quintero put in a strong time trial performance to move up to fifth place overall at the Tour de l'Avenir.
The 19-year-old Colombian clocked the 11th fastest time on the uphill 11.4-kilometre course to Flaine.
That result elevated Quintero four places on the GC, now sitting in the top-five with two days remaining, 2:09 back on new leader Lorenzo Mark Finn (Red Bull - Bora - Hansgrohe Rookies).
The race will conclude with two back to back mountain summit finishes to decide the yellow jersey.
