Connor Swift put in a superb ride to claim third place and a bronze medal at the UCI Gravel World Championships in Australia.
Riding in the colours of Great Britain, the Yorkshireman rode himself into contention across a punishing 144-kilometre route in Nannup, Western Australia.
Swift came to the fore as the race split over the main Folly Summit climb, going clear in a four-man group ahead of the final 20km.
Despite a brief regrouping, Swift would accelerate again and headed to the finish in a quartet. Opening up the sprint from the front, Swift dug deep and held on for third, matching his medal from the 2023 edition.
In a tight finish, Magnus Bak Klaris (Denmark) edged out defending champion Florian Vermeersch (Belgium), with Swift rounding out the podium places.
