Thymen Arensman led the team home on stage 20 of the Tour de France, crossing the line 23rd following a gutsy breakaway ride.
After a competitive start to the queen stage during the break formation phase, it was Arensman and Foss who were able to make their way into the day’s early move on the Col de la Croix-de-Fer.
With 14 riders initially involved, the group steadily opened out a gap over the first categorised climb, but would encounter resistance from a peloton led by Bahrain Victorious.
The Netcompany INEOS duo stuck in as the group thinned over the Col du Telegraphe, but would become distanced as the break finally splintered on the infamous Col du Galibier.
Arensman was able to remount and battle back following a crash at the start of the descent, before filtering back into the yellow jersey group.
Richard Carapaz (EF Education - EasyPost) was able to hold off the chasing GC contenders to secure a second stage win. While behind, Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates - XRG) all but confirmed overall victory.
